Bedroom

Entrance to centre: Entrance to centreThe Centre has a showroom with a bedroom area.
The bedroom area has an electric profiling bed (hospital bed) and some hoists.  Smaller items, which may enable you to get in and out of bed are also available at the Centre.  These include a Mangar leg lifter, Theraposture leg lifter, a bed lever and a bed pole.

The Centre also has a range of aids which might help you to dress and undress.  These include aids to help put on socks, aids to help put on compression stocking and some items of clothing (shirts, nightwear).

You can drop into the Centre to pick up information and be shown equipment but some items of equipment can only be tried when an Occupational Therapist is available.  To avoid disappointment, it is, therefore, strongly recommended that you book an appointment before visiting.

  • The Centre is impartial and does not sell equipment but is an opportunity for you to "try before you buy" equipment.
  • The Centre can also provide information on local and national retailers and "Wise Buy Guides"  which provide question to ask before parting with your money.
