Oxfordshire County Council have set up the "Help to Live at Home equipment catalogue", which allows you to self-assess and choose equipment for yourself.  The on-line catalogue of equipment is available to people who are permanent residents of Oxfordshire.

Bath seat, Non-slip mat, Raised toilet seat, Stool with arms and padded back, Adjustable stool with arms, Plastic grab rails, Bath step, Bathboard - slatted, Bathboard - plastic coated, Toilet surround, Toilet seat and frame, Large Manoy meal plate, Plate guard, Trolley, Commode, Wooden bannister rail, Metal offset rail, Strong grab rail, Metal Newell rail

The Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) in London has a free on-line self-assessment tool called AskSARA.  By answering AskSARA's questions about yourself and your environment, you will get advice about ways to make your life easier, details of products that might help you and details of where you can obtain them.
